Function & Design – Deborah and Matt
Matt and Deborah, homeowners in Crestwood South, needed more space and functionality in their small master bath. In addition to a need to stand in the bathroom at the same time, they also wanted to add a bathtub. The desire was to pursue a remodel which fit in their home’s footprint while keeping the overall interior modifications to a minimum. Oak Alley helped them find the needed space by changing the traffic flow and modifying the master bedroom layout. Watch and listen as Matt and Deborah discuss the workflow and communication that helped them understand the project as it proceeded and resulted in a fully functional master bath and closet.
Full Kitchen Remodel – Tom and Cynthia Smothers
Tom and Cynthia, homeowners in Chelsea, talk about their experience remodeling their kitchen with Oak Alley. The kitchen was completely gutted before being rebuilt with new Sterling Gray-colored hardwood flooring, Cabico® brand cabinets, Pearlized Black countertops, and black appliances. Cabico bookcases and a gorgeous Cabico hutch finish the room perfectly. The entire kitchen, painted Sedate Gray and trimmed in white, glows with cabinet underlighting and LED Surface-Mount Downlights overhead. This was the second project the Smothers worked on with Oak Alley, the first being a master bath remodel. As with the prior project, the new layout is practical, adding functionality where needed while maintaining the beauty and charm of the home’s original design.
Whole House Remodel (part 1) – Bernice Graben
Bernice and Ken vacationed at Lake Logan Martin for years with their family before deciding to call it home full time. They soon found their small vacation lake house no longer fit the needs of full-time residents. They realized an overall remodel was the answer. Expansion of the living room (including picture windows to the lake), a larger kitchen, a dedicated master suite (with walk-in shower and separate tub), and a two-car garage were all pieces that updated the cramped quarters. Watch as Bernice discusses how the 3D renderings helped her visualize the project, as well as the comfort and trust she felt working with Oak Alley’s craftsmen.
Whole House Remodel (part 2) – Ken Graben
Ken and Bernice love the lake and love having family and friends over year-round. What they didn’t love was cramming everyone into the existing layout. They needed space that worked for them on a daily basis and for their guests as needed. Using careful planning, innovative design, and detailed construction, the Graben’s goals were met in full. Their remodel is functional and aesthetically pleasing with new construction blending seamlessly into the existing home. The end result is a perfect fitting home where they vacation every day! Listen as Ken talks about how Oak Alley’s experience with remodeling allowed the renovations and additions to blend with the existing home.
Accessibility & Universal Design – Wayne & Carolyn Fulmer

Oak Alley worked with them to design and build their dream home with plenty of windows and wide porches for resting and watching the wildlife. A timeless design and quality craftsmanship have provided them twenty years of contentment in their home. The only modification has been the replacement of the back deck stairs with an inclined, decorative walkway to allow easier accessibility.
